Honda Acty Shift Linkage Bushing Kit

A 9-piece replacement for the worn shift linkage bushings on 1990–1999 Honda Acty HA3 and HA4 trucks and HH3 and HH4 vans. It takes the play out of a shifter that wanders between gears. I've run this kit on my own 1991 HA4 for more than five months with no issues.

What it fixes

After 30 years, the factory bushings in the Acty's shift linkage harden and crack. Once they do, the shifter picks up play. You'll usually notice:

  • The shifter wanders or feels vague between gears.
  • Gears are harder to find, especially across the gate.
  • The lever has noticeable slop before anything moves.

New bushings take up that play so the lever moves the linkage directly again.

If the shifter feels tight but the gears grind, the problem is more likely the clutch or the inside of the transmission. New bushings won't fix grinding.

What's in the kit

  • 6 shifter assembly bushings
  • 1 ball cup
  • 2 small linkage bushings

All 9 pieces are printed in PETG. For a full shifter rebuild, add the shifter base bushings and the pivot spacers. Etsy takes 15% off when all three are in your cart together.

Questions

Does the shift linkage kit fit the Honda Acty van?

Yes. The shift linkage bushings are the same on the HA4 truck and the HH3/HH4 Acty Street van, so the kit fits both.

Are 3D-printed bushings strong enough for a shifter?

They're printed in PETG, a tough plastic that holds up to wear. I've driven on this kit in my own 1991 HA4 for more than five months with no issues.

Should I replace the shifter base bushings too?

If the whole shifter rocks or feels soft at its base, yes. The linkage kit fixes play in the linkage; the base bushings fix movement where the shifter mounts. The shifter guide below explains how to tell which you need.

Are these genuine Honda parts?

No. They're aftermarket 3D-printed parts. ActyPartsLab isn't affiliated with Honda.
